The printing industry like many other industries is starting to pick up steam in going "Green". From recycling paper to using soy ink, smart printing companies are starting to realize the benefits of going "Green".

At Quorum, we are Going Green. We assess the environmental impact of every phase of our operation. From recycling paper and printing plates, to choosing environmentally friendly chemicals and materials, we are driven to be responsible stewards of our planet.

We reducing emissions of greenhouse gases by buying carbon credits supporting reforestation or renewable energy. One such fund is www.carbonfund.org. This fund gives you choices of how your credits will be used. There are 3 choices: Reforestation, Renewable Energy, or Energy Conservation.

We using recycled paper that is certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council(FSC) or the Sustainable Forestry Initiative(SFI). That gives us the ability to control the fiber that is being used to make certified paper. This is usually going to be the largest waste component of a printing job. By using recycled post consumer waste paper we are directly saving trees.

We also using recycled ink and soy based inks. This is another way we going "green" with your printing. We also recycle all press solutions and plates used in the printing process. All waste paper and cardboard is recycled along with printing plates.
